- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons Magnolia-Star Vanilla Extract
Vanilla Buttercream
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 4 – 5 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream, half-and-half, or whole milk, at room temperature
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- Pink food coloring
- Valentines themed sprinkles
