Heart Shaped Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 package or 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 6 cups Kellogg's® Rice Krispies® cereal
  • 1 tsp Magnolia-Star Pure Vanilla Extract
  • Heart shaped cookie cutter
  • Pink candy melts (Michael’s)
  • White candy melts
  • Squeeze bottle
INSTRUCTIONS

1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and vanilla and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.

2. Add cereal. Stir until well coated.

3. Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into cookie sheet coated with cooking spray. Cool. Using cookie cutter cut into heart shapes. Placed cut Rice Krispie treats on wax paper or silicone mat.

4. Heat each candy melt color in a microwave safe bowl 30 seconds at a time stirring in between until completely melted. Be careful not to overheat or your chocolate will burn.

5. Dip half of the heart on each treat in pink chocolate and place back on wax paper or mat.

6. Pour white candy melts into squeeze bottle and drizzle lightly back and forth over chocolate dipped area.

7. Allow to cool and set. Best if served same day or in sealed container for up to a week.
