Pumpkin Chai Latte

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk (whole milk, almond milk, or any milk of your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree (canned or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (adjust to your sweetness preference)
  • 1 teaspoon Magnolia-Star Pumpkin Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 2 chai tea bags or 2 tablespoons loose chai tea (black tea with spices)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • Ground cinnamon or pumpkin spice (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, pumpkin extract, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, and ground cardamom.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and whisk the mixture continuously until it's heated through and starts to steam. Do not let it boil.
  3. Once the milk mixture is steaming, add the chai tea bags or loose chai tea directly to the saucepan.
  4. Let the chai tea steep in the milk mixture for about 3-5 minutes, or until you achieve your desired level of spiciness and chai flavor. Keep stirring occasionally during this time.
  5. After steeping, remove the chai tea bags or strain out the loose chai tea using a fine-mesh strainer, depending on what you used.
  6. Pour the Pumpkin Chai Latte into two mugs, dividing it equally between them.
  7. Optionally, you can top each latte with whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or pumpkin spice for an extra touch of indulgence and aroma.
  8. Serve the Pumpkin Chai Lattes warm, and enjoy the cozy and delightful flavors of pumpkin and chai spices!
